8. Ms. Powell and I are reviewing the last revision of the Title-1 teachers schedule we were given along with the comments that were submitted. We will make a determination today and communicate it to all involved. Thank you for your input. As is usually the case, this implementation will be a compromise. Some of you will be very pleased and others not so. What we can say is that the decision will be in the best interest of the children involved.
9. Committee--a group of men who individually can do nothing but as a group decide that nothing can be done.
Fred Allen (1894 - 1956)
Fall not in love, therefore; it will stick to your face.
National Lampoon, "Deteriorata"
The folly of mistaking a paradox for a discovery, a metaphor for a proof, a torrent of verbiage for a spring of capital truths, and oneself for an oracle, is inborn in us.
Paul Valery (1871 - 1945), 1895
I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
