5. Now that you've had an introduction to Flickr and Photo Story 3, plan a lesson using them sometime during the next two weeks. You will be working in small groups during the next staff meeting on October 14. We want you to share either the Photo Story you made to use with your students or a student made photo story with your group as part of the meeting. Keep it small and simple to begin with. If you need help, please feel free to call upon us to assist you.
6. The PTA Membership dues are $3.50 per person. You can see Ms. Fletcher who will be happy to help you. The PTA had a number of grade parents here last night for volunteer training.
7. Just a reminder that Dr. Martin visits Speas next week on October 9. Be sure you know your data . He will be here from 10:00-12:00 and will most likely eat lunch in the cafeteria.
8. Social Committee dues are still being collected. This benefits everyone, even those who do not pay. Please find it in your heart to contribute your dues of $25.
9. We had 11 students show up for tutoring last night. Teachers in grades 2-5 should continue to make personal invitations and a call the parents of any child who can benefit from the extra assistance. It's free. It's good. All some folks need is a personal request from you.
10. Family Fun Night is November 7. All grade levels and specialists have been divided to handle certain areas, locations and activities. A successful Family Fun Night requires the help and assistance of every staff member. As each pulls their share of the load, everyone can enjoy the evening without anyone being over taxed. Each team needs to create a schedule for coverage for the entire event along with 30 minutes before hand for set-up and 30 minutes afterwards for clean up. Your schedule should be turned in to Ms. Fletcher by Friday, October 10, 2008 showing how your team will cover their given location. The teams and locations are listed below:
