1. Today is Day 16.
2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

5. Please keep Ms. Linhart in your thoughts and prayers. Her grandmother passed away yesterday. On the positive side, Grady has shown some minor improvement.
6. The training for NCWISE Grade book is today.
7. Please keep Ms. Summey and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Her father-in-law passed away on Sunday. She will be in Hendersonville for the remainder of the week.
8. There is a SIT meeting this afternoon in the media center.
9. We have placed flyers for Discovery Place on the counter under the sign-in board in the mail room.
10. I am in need of certified and classified staff members to work after school in our 3rd and 5th grade tutoring program. The pay is $25 p/h for certified and $17 to $22 for classified depending on qualifications. Drop me an e-mail if you are interested. Tutoring takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and will begin in October.
