6. The training for NCWISE Grade book is set for next Wednesday. SIT will do the master calendar on Tuesday.

7. Remember to update your web page by this afternoon. If you cannot meet that deadline, please let Ms. Powell or me know. If you need assistance, please ask Ms. C. Smith.

8. Time for peer observations is slipping away. Please get together with the individual you are observing and schedule a time for it. Remember that you can only observe the areas that are indicated with a check mark in the first column. You may not see all of these. That is OK. If you don't observe a particular aspect of a standard, just not that in the last column. Don't forget to take time to do your self-assessment.

9. Teachers participating in the DIBELS training today should be ready to go at 7:30 in the music room. There will be lots of subs in the K-2 sections of the building. Please be mindful of this up until 10:30 AM.

10. Ms. Billingsley has identified the first group of students who will be working with LLI. She will begin pulling these individuals on Monday for instruction. We have been allotted a long-term sub until our new SLD teacher is hired. Her name is Ms. Holman. She will be with us in the afternoons.

11. The WS Symphony Brass Ensemble will be here at 9:00 AM on Monday, September 14 for a presentation to grades 4 and 5. The presentation will be in the gym. Please plan accordingly.

12. When you have sick children, you do not have to call the parents. When you send them to the office, we will take care of contacting the parent or guardian.

13. Ms. Spaventa will begin, teaching her classes on Monday.

14. Rock journalism is people who can't write interviewing people who can't talk for people who can't read.

If a thing isn't worth saying, you sing it.

Very little is known of the Canadian country since it is rarely visited by anyone but the Queen and illiterate sport fishermen.
P. J. O'Rourke (1947 - )

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.
Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)
