1. Today is Day 52.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

Ms. Powell - Staff Development - Off-campus until 10:45

Thursday: November 13
Linhart Field Trip to Reynolda Manor - 8:15
Ident-A-Kid - 8:15
Elementary Principal's Meeting - Reichert off-campus 7:15-12:00 PM
SIP Committee Meetings - 2:40-3:40
WS/FCS Staff Policy Committee - 4:00-5:00 PM - Reichert off-campus
Make It , Take It Night - 6:30-7:30

Friday: November 14
Honor Roll - 8:15

4. As was stated in the e-mail of Monday afternoon, all certified and classified staff members with the exception of custodial and office personnel serve on SIP committees. There are no exceptions. When a staff member is excused from a meeting it is done based on the information available at the time and is not discussed with the staff as a whole.

5. At the end of every day:
a. TURN ALL TV's
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTER (CPU's)

6. Social Committee dues are $25 and can be paid in a single payment, or installments throughout the year. See Ms. Johnson to work out payment of your dues.

7. Fliers regarding The "Retirement Information Center" dates for 2008-2009 are in the lounge and the mail room.

8. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. December 02 - Holiday Program
b. December 06 - Holiday Open House - The Reichert's House
c. December 12 - Speas Meeting with Dr. Martin

9. A sign-up sheet for first quarter review conferences is in the mail room. Please sign -up for a time that is convenient for you. Please check with the other individuals on your grade level so that everyone uses a similar form. We want to review the performance of every child and put strategies in place to help them be successful.

10. Classified staff who worked at Family Fun Night should see Ms. Powell for their COMP Time Coupons.

11. Thank you notes for our author/illustrator presentation last Friday can be sent to the following:

12. We will be meeting Thursday afternoon on our SIT plan rough draft.

13. Please remember to send Ms. Powell a copy of your weekly newsletter each Monday. She needs it for the Title-1 notebook.
