1. Today is Day 122.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

Marzano training - 2:40-4:00
McDonald's Night - 5:00-8:00
TOY Committee - Semi-finalists selection - 4:00-6:00 - Reichert off-campus
A's and Bee's Tutoring - 6:00-8:00
Meet the Principal - 6:30-7:30

Wednesday: March 18
Dental Screening - Grades K, 3, 5 and EC Students - 8:15

Thursday: March 19
EOQ Testing

Ms. Powell off-campus - Morning only

Reichert - off-campus all day

Friday: March 20
EOQ Testing

4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)

5. Toni Bigham will be on-campus today from 7:30-9:30 AM. The agenda is hers and so we may tour the building and visit classrooms. Should we come to your room, please continue on with whatever activities you were doing.

6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. March 22-26 - 3rd Quarter EOQ testing
b. March 24 - AR Benchmarks due
c. March 27 - Dollar Dress Down Day
d. April 1-3 - Spring Break

7. If you receive notes regarding parents declining to have their children screened for dental problems, please keep them until after tomorrow. On Thursday, please send them to Ms. Rhodes who will file them as a group.

8. If you have questions or concerns about the furlough explanation and budget crisis, please feel free to ask. We will do our best to answer what we can.

9. Today's Marzano training will deal with our third strategy, Reinforcing effort and providing recognition.

10. I will be leaving the Marzano training this afternoon early in order to attend the semi-finalist selection for this year's WS/FCS - Teacher of the Year at 4:00 PM. Keep your fingers crossed for Ms. Larson!

11. I will need to speak with 5th grade teachers for a few minutes prior to the Marzano training this afternoon regarding the Gallup Survey we will be taking this week or next week.
