AM Announcements
March 12, 2009

1. Today is Day 119.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

3. Calendar items for this week:
Thursday: March 12
Elementary Principals' meeting - 7:15-12:00 - Reichert off-campus
WS/FCS Policy Committee - 4:00-5:00 - Reichert off-campus

Friday: March 13
Ms. Fletcher is off-campus all day today.
Today is Friday the 13th! The second one this year!

4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)

5. Teachers in grade 3 and 5 should remind their tutoring students that there is tutoring this Saturday from 8:30-11:30.

6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. March 18 - Dental Screening (EC students, K, 3rd and 5th grades)
b. March 19-26 - 3rd Quarter EOQ testing
c. March 24 - AR Benchmarks due
d. March 27 - Dollar Dress Down Day

e. April 1-3 - Spring Break

7. If you receive notes regarding parents declining to have their children screened for dental problems, please keep them until after 3/18. On 3/19, please send them to Ms. Rhodes who will file them as a group.

8. I will be off-campus this morning at Elementary Principals' meeting from 7:15-12:00. I will also be off campus this afternoon from 3:30-5;00 at WS/FCS Staff Policy Committee.

9. Hope Presbyterian can be thanked for today's breakfast items. Thank you notes can be placed in their box above the small set of mailboxes by my office door to the mail room. I'm sure they would love to receive them.

10. Ms. Fletcher will be off-campus all day tomorrow.
