1. Today is Day 121.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

3. Calendar items for this week:

Interim Reports go home
Ms. Powell off-campus - 7:30=10:00 AM

Tuesday: March 17
St. Patrick's Day
Toni Bigham at Speas to do my Annual Evaluation - 7:30-9:30
Marzano training - 2:40-4:00
McDonald's Night - 5:00-8:00
TOY Committee - Semi-finalists selection - 4:00-6:00 - Reichert off-campus
A's and Bee's Tutoring - 6:00-8:00
Meet the Principal - 6:30-7:30

Wednesday: March 18
Dental Screening - Grades K, 3, 5 and EC Students - 8:15

Thursday: March 19
EOQ Testing

Friday: March 20
EOQ Testing

4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)

5. There are a few left over sausage biscuits and donuts that will be placed out in the lounge after 7:15 AM.

6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. March 22-26 - 3rd Quarter EOQ testing
b. March 24 - AR Benchmarks due
c. March 27 - Dollar Dress Down Day
d. April 1-3 - Spring Break

7. If you receive notes regarding parents declining to have their children screened for dental problems, please keep them until after 3/18. On 3/19, please send them to Ms. Rhodes who will file them as a group.

8. If you have questions or concerns about the furlough explanation and budget crisis, please feel free to ask. We will do our best to answer what we can.

9. Tomorrow's Marzano training will deal with our third strategy, Reinforcing effort and providing recognition.

10. Ms. Powell will be off-campus this morning from 7:15-10:00. Ms. Fletcher is out sick today.

11. Remember to have your students clean up the floor in your classroom before they go home at the end of the day. Also you will want to have them place all chairs on their desks and pick up all books, games and materials. This includes teacher books and materials as well.

12. Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do.
