January 23, 2009
1. Today is Day 89.
2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.
3. Calendar items for this week:
Friday: January 23
Zone 5/6 Advisory Meeting - Meadowlark Elementary -7:30-9:00 - Reichert and Clodfelter off-campus
Lunch and Learn Session - Senior Services - 11:30-12:30 - Reichert off-campus
EOQ Testing - Make-ups
Dollar Dress Down Day
4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)
5. Remember to remind your students that there is no school on Monday, January 26. We will do an AlertNow reminder for parents as well.
6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. January 26 - No School - RS day for report cards
b. January 27 - Technology Staff Development - 2:30-5:00
c. January 27-29 - AR Celebrations - (27/K; 28/1-2; 29/ 3-5)
7. On Monday January 26th, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, a Winter Education Symposium will be held at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. it is free and open to WS/FCS employees for 0.3 CEU's. This is open to both certified and classified employees.
8. Ms. Clodfelter and I will be off-campus this morning from 7:30-9:00 at a Zone 5/6 Advisory Council meeting.
9. I received a phone call yesterday afternoon regarding the copier in the HIVE and the toner. The individual took full responsibility and I wanted to say publicly that I appreciated the call and the action very much.
10. Today is a Dollar Dress Down Day.
