1. Today is Day 80.
2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN ALL TV's OFF
c. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)
We were inspected by Energy Management Tuesday night. They found the folowing: Two fans left on; one window open; three computers, three monitors and three TV's still on. I will be contacting the individuals involved regarding making sure these are turned off nightly.
5. Teachers in grades 1-5 should pull the orange health cards from their students' CUM folders and take them to the gym when called for their vision screening today. The Health Department will appreciate it.
6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:

7. One item that came up at SIT was the use of annual leave and personal leave during testing times. Annual Leave and Personal Leave will not be granted on the days set for Reading, Math and Science testing. It will be considered on a case by case basis during testing make-up days.
8. Individuals associated with the construction will be here today after 4:00 to determine where Smartboard and technology will be placed in each classroom as it is renovated.
9. There is a sign-up sheet in the mail room for Be Healthy School Kids classroom presentations beginning. No more than two classes may sign up for any time slot.
10. If you plan to retire don't forget the session at the Retirement Information Center in the Career Center Cafeteria this afternoon from 2:30-4:30.
