School-wide Job applications due
4. At the end of each day please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN ALL TV's OFF
c. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)
5. Teachers in grades 3-5 should really talk up school-wide jobs. Ms. Fussell has asked that the applications should be returned by Thursday. In that way we'll have Friday to collect the stragglers. We will continue to promote them on Morning Broadcast throughout the week.

7. The Public Library has returned a paperback book to us. The name is Book of Monsters: Tales that Give You the Creeps by Bruce Coville. It has Speas written on the cover in magic marker. If this belongs to you for your classroom library, please see me. The book is in my office.
8. Clinique will be pampering the Forsyth County School Teachers in January. They will be here from 9-4 on Monday or Tuesday 1/12-1/13. They will be sending a sign in sheet for you to sign up for a time. They will do makeovers and or skin care on 2 teachers per 30 minutes. This is their way of giving back to the teachers in Forsyth County.
9. There is a sign-up sheet in the mail room for Be Healthy School Kids classroom presentations beginning. No more than two classes may sign up for any time slot.
10. My wife is having hand surgery tomorrow Wednesday and I will be off-campus first thing in the morning. I will be back as soon as the surgery is over and she is settled in her room.
11. Any staff members thinking about retirement at the end of this school year may want to stop in at the Retirement Information Center in the Career Center Cafeteria this Thursday, January 08 from 2:30-4:30. There are also Retirement Planning Conferences held around the state. A listing of these can be found on the NC Treasurer's website in the "retirement" section. Individuals planning on retiring should notify Human Resources 120 days prior to their projected retirement date.
12. Chris Say has volunteered to be our Arts Council Fund Drive representative in Ms. Rusch's absence. Six other individuals volunteered as well. Thanks to all of you for your willingness to assist.
