4. Yesterday we had someone placed an entire roll of toilet paper in one of the commodes in the Girls Bathroom by the gym. Mr. Cokley removed it and in less than 30 minutes, someone did it again. I am asking teachers who use this bathroom to go in both the Boys and Girls bathrooms before their students use them to check for any problems. Once your class has used the bathrooms, then you should check them a second time.
5. Ms. Childers sent around information about the Scholastic Book Fairs Warehouse Sale. Below is additional information :

6. Don't forget to turn in your pledge card for the UNCF drive. The current total is $720.00. Remember that the drive ends May 21, 2010.
7. Review Conferences for today are:
8. The power will be shut off to the back building beginning at 2:30 PM so that they can move the electrical panel. It should be off for about an hour. Please be sure to save all your work prior to that time or you may use it. I would encourage you to log off and shut down your computers prior to 2:30.
9. The WS/FCS transfer fair is today at Parkland High School from 4:30-6:00. Those individuals who indicated they would like to transfer are welcome to attend and meet with rpincipals looking to fill vacancies. It is also valuable to get your name out there in case openings arise. Yesterday I spoke with James Lucas and he gave me the band that surplus teachers would be drawn from. Part-time teachers are not in the pool to be considered as surplus due to the fact that they work on a year to year contract. Remember thast being declared surplus means that you you must be placed in an existing position position before anyone can be hired from the outside. It also means that some individuals who are not declared surplus will wind up teaching at a different grade level.
10. Remember to review data in your PLC meetings as we work to complete our needs assessment for our Prioritized Title-1 Plan. With the budget in turmoil our decisions about which programs and personnel to fun with Title-1 money become even more critical.
11. Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal.
Albert Camus (1913 - 1960)
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
Noel Coward (1899 - 1973)
Acting is the most minor of gifts and not a very high-class way to earn a living. After all, Shirley Temple could do it at the age of four.
Katharine Hepburn (1907 - 2003)
I think it is good that books still exist, but they do make me sleepy.
Frank Zappa (1940 - 1993)
