AM Announcements
December 19, 2008

1. Today is Day 76.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

3. Calendar items for this week:

Friday: December 19
Dollar Dress Down Day
Box Tops for Education collected
Please leave as early as possible today and start your holiday break.

4. At the end of each day please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN ALL TV's OFF
c. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)

5. If you would like to write a Thank You note to Hope Presbyterian, you can place it in the box above the mail boxes beginning with A-F. The Student Council/PTA deserves your "thanks" for the wonderful luncheon spread they put on for all of us yesterday.

6. Upcoming dates for your calendar:
a. December 19 - Classified staff members arrive and depart a half hour early
b. January 2 - Speas office opens after the Holiday break
c. January 5 - Classes resume

7. Classified staff members are entitled to an hour off today. Those with classroom responsibilities should arrive a half hour later and leave a half hour earlier. Those without may leave an hour earlier than their regular departure time.

8. Classified staff members are to fill out their time sheets on a DAILY basis. They should access their electronic time sheet when they first arrive at the beginning of the day and enter their arrival time. Then they should access it again just prior to departure and enter the time they leave.

9. Please make sure to clean anything that is personal out of the refrigerators in the front and back buildings. They will be cleaned and everything thrown away beginning at 3:00 today.

10. Today is a Dollar Dress Down Day.

11. It is our wish that you and your loved ones enjoy a glorious holiday season. Don't rush so that you have no time for rest or reflection.

12. The following readings are scheduled for today:

Linhart - 10:15 AM
Goliszek - 11:00 AM
