4. We completed the Governor's Working Conditions Survey with a response rate of 82.98%. DPI said that we have 47 employees. When I counted our certified employees I could only find 42. Only those individuals who are based here are supposed to respond. I was able to reach 47 employees by adding in our Social Worker, EC Case Manager, School Psychologist, vacant EC Resource position and one staff member who is a certified teacher but does not serve in that capacity. Using the 42 number, our response rate was 92.85%.

5. Next week, the US Census will be at Speas providing assistance to the community. They will be in the gym Tuesday, 4/27 through Friday, 4/30 from 8:00-5:00. PE classes will be held outside or in the classroom if it rains.

6. Don't forget to turn in your pledge card for the UNCF drive. They can be turned in to Michelle Odom. She informed me yesterday that we had raised $395.00 to date.

7. Don't forget to send Interim Reports home today.

To know all is not to forgive all. It is to despise everybody.
Quentin Crisp

At least two-thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity: idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religous or political ideas.
Aldous Huxley (1894 - 1963)
