5. Don't forget to take the Governor's Working Conditions Survey. It can be done from any computer connected to the internet at the following address: http://www.ncteachingconditions.org/

Currently Speas participation rate is at 80.85% with 38 of 47 individuals responding. If you have not responded, please do so today and get this out of the way. The last day is Friday and all schools are expected to be over 90% at that time.

6. The Teacher Notification of Intent web site is open, and available to teachers via the Employees page of the WS/FCS web site. All full-time teachers need to complete an intent form (there is a different process for part-time teachers). The deadline is tomorrow.

• Go to the WS/FCS home page at http://wsfcs.k12.nc.us/
• Click on the red “Employees” tab
• Under the “Administration” heading, click on the link for “WSFCS Administrative Resources”
• In the right hand column under “Employee Related Data Entry”, click on the link “Teacher Notification of Intent Decisions”
• Log in like you would to register for a workshop
• Click on “Enter/Edit Teacher Notification of Intent”
• Review the information page, then enter your SSN in the secure box at the bottom of the page to go to the Teacher Intent form and make your elections
• You can edit or adjust your elections as often as you like between now and April 16th

We still have 3 certified employees who have not responded. Please take care of this by Friday when the window closes.

7. Don't forget your pledge card for the UNCF drive. They can be turned in to Michelle Odom.
8. There is No Classified Intent Form this year because classified employees can promote during the school year and with HR and Assistant Superintendent approval they can also transfer.

9. I will be off-campus this morning at Elementary Principals' meeting from 7;15-12:00. Ms. powell will be off-campus all day today. Please keep this in mind if you need office assistance.

10. Education is a progressive discovery of our own ignorance.
Will Durant (1885 - 1981)

The multitude of books is making us ignorant.
Voltaire (1694 - 1778)

The love of truth lies at the root of much humor.
Robertson Davies

I maintain there is much more wonder in science than in pseudoscience. And in addition, to whatever measure this term has any meaning, science has the additional virtue, and it is not an inconsiderable one, of being true.
Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996)
