13. With all the concern about Swine Flu, I have taken the following from the Centers for Disease Control web site.
What You Can Do to Stay Healthy
There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.
1. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
2. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
4. Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
5. If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
14. Please keep Ms. Fletcher and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Her mother was hospitalized last evening and will be undergoing tests today. Ms. Fletcher will be out today. Also keep Ms. Pfitzner and her family in your prayers. Her husband was involved in the layoffs at Hanes yesterday.
15. I have forwarded an e-mail to everyone this morning from Kerry Crutchfield. It is the latest information from WS/FCS on our plans regarding the Governor's executive order reducing the pay for all state workers by 0.5%. Please read it carefully and if you have questions please let me know so that I can try to find answers for you. This is a confusing time for everyone and we want to insure that everyone understands the Governor's action and how it may effect them.
16. A comment was placed on this post yesterday reporting that there were no paper towels in the 4/5 bathroom all day. Any time you discover a problem, please contact the office immediately so that it can be dealt with. I have the custodians checking the bathrooms during the day but should supplies be exhausted before they check it, we need to know so that students and staff have what is needed in order to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. If you wish to view the comment, please click on the word "comments" at the bottom of the post.

In response to the swine flu suggestions - there was no toilet paper or soap in the girls' bathroom in the 4th and 5th grade hall today and no paper towels in both boys' and girls' bathrooms all day. This may be something that should be checked daily.
Agreed. Some people work hard to make sure their tasks are done and some people don't. It would seem that admin would notice these discrepancies and do something about it.
