1. Today is Day 148.
2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

4. At the end of each day, please do the following:
a. CLOSE ALL BLINDS
b. TURN OFF ALL MONITORS and COMPUTERS (CPU's)
5. Classified employees will receive a survey in the next few days. Ms. Powell and Ms. Rhodes will provide directions as to how to complete it and where it needs to be returned. Please follow these directions closely.
6. The 20 day blitz continues!

8. Due to the Volunteer Luncheon, all media classes after 10:00 AM will be cancelled. Classes who are scheduled after 10:00 AM are welcome to come and exchange books immediately following morning broadcast on Wednesday morning.
9. "Night Beneath the Stars" tickets are on sale in the office. They are $35.00 per person.
10. The WS/FCS Spring Extravaganza Art Exhibit will be held May 1-6 at the Old Salem Visitors' Center. Everyone is encouraged to go and view the artwork our students have created under the direction of Ms. Laney.
11. Tonight is the last A's and Bees tutoring session due to AP exams for our tutors.
12. Certified staff members are invited to attend a recruitment meeting for the Master of Education In Elementary Education Program at Winston-Salem State University. The meeting is May 13, 2009, 5:30 p.m. –6:30 p.m., Anderson Center Room 238, Winston-Salem State University
13. I am in need of a teacher assistant to cover the computer lab after school. Not all assistants have taken a turn and I would like someone who has not done it yet. Either send me an e-mail or call me this morning. Thanks.
