The incentive ends and the Fun with Fiddles Concert is to begin 15 minutes later. Remember that Kindergarten classes will not be called. I would come to the gym about 10 minutes to 9:00 and be seated on the floor in the front.

6. Books for the African Book Project can be dropped off in the front lobby until Friday.

7. If you have not already, you will receive a large post card from the North Carolina State Health Plan which states that all members and their dependents will be place on the basic 70/30 plan effective July 01, 2010. In order to qualify for the Standard 80/20 plan you must go on-line during the enrollment period and attest to the fact that you and your dependents; 1. Do not use tobacco products, or 2. Are actively trying to quit. You will receive your Annual Enrollment Kit soon with important information and the dates of the annual enrollment period. (A copy of this post card was placed in your box on Tuesday morning.)

8. You can still sign-up in the mailroom to take food or groceries or a meal to Rose Rusch and Amber. Please see Ms. Higgins if you wish to donate Annual Leave days to Rose. Your support is greatly appreciated.

9. Addie Hymes will be here this morning to conduct an audit of outm Title-1 Parent Involvement notebook.

10. Next Monday, March 1, we will host Partners in Math sessions taught by Ms. larson and Ms. Hoots.

11. The issue has arisen again regarding students buying snacks in the cafeteria. Please remember that we cannot prevent any child from purchasing items in the cafeteria. No matter how they have behaved or how lacking in nutrition the purchases, we have no authority to tell students and parents how they can spend their money. If a child is purchasing irresponsibly, call it to the parent's attention. It is a matter between parent and child. We are out of the equation. All purchases must be consumed in the cafeteria however. We do have control over that aspect.

12. New York now leads the world's great cities in the number of people around whom you shouldn't make a sudden move.
David Letterman (1947 - )

It is dangerous for a national candidate to say things that people might remember.
Eugene McCarthy (1916 - 2005)

Of course the game is rigged. Don't let that stop you--if you don't play, you can't win.
Robert Heinlein (1907 - 1988)

An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory.
Friedrich Engels (1820 - 1895)
