The specialists talked in PLC about wanting to support the classroom teachers and their curriculum as a group. We are hoping that the teachers can include us by giving us some brief information each quarter/month of the upcoming units they will be doing for the grade level, so that we can support and reinforce those concepts in our lessons. It would specifically help me in the media center, as I would know ahead of time which books would be in much demand and could arrnage to pull those resources and reserve them before they got checked out by a few individuals, thereby making scarce resources available to more users. Also, it would help me identify collection gaps and give me more information on what particular materials we need to fill those gaps with the funding available. It always helps when teachers let me know what resources they need ahead of time so I can see what we have to offer or what we need to get. Thanks.
