1. Today is Day 125.

2. It is the mission of Speas Elementary School to provide its students with the tools necessary to successfully meet the challenges they will face in a diverse world.

3. Calendar items for this week:

4. Upcoming Calendar Items:

d. 03/26 - Dollar Dress Down Day

5. If you or your grade level have not taken your visit to teacher(s) at another school, please schedule it for some time before March 29. If it must go into April, that's OK. See Ms. Higgins for the paperwork so we can pay for your 1/2 day sub out of Title-1 funds. Those groups that have been already have found it very valuable.

6. Staff members should have received invitations to participate in the Governor's Working Conditions Survey. This is an on-line survey and will be open from March 15-April 16. We do this survey every other year, alternating with the local FCAE survey. The information garnered from this survey is used at the school, district and state level to improve working conditions and address problems. This is a chance to have your voice heard on issues that are important to you.

7. The Annual Enrollment Period for the State Health Plan continues and will run through April 9. ALL EMPLOYEES MUST ENROLL ON-LINE through the following website:

http://wsfcs.hrintouch.com/

If you have questions about login or site navigation please call 1-866-239-1055. If you have questions about State Health Plan benefits call 1-888-234-2416.

There is also a button on the WS/FCS web site that you can use to access the enrollment web site.

8. Ms. Powell and I will be off-campus this morning at a Move meeting at central office.

9. Move information: Yesterday at the job site meeting we discussed the move to the pod for rooms 21-28 with the exception of art. Here are few important things to remember:

a. ANYTHING not moved to the pod will be demolished. Therefore don't leave ANYTHING behind. I mean anything.

b. The move on the 29th will involve classes going to the gym for a designated period of time. During this time, their rooms will be moved and they will not return to them. They will go to their new rooms in the pod.

c. Room assignments for the pod are as follows: Smith - #1; Linhart - #3; Kooken #5; Smutek #7; Kelly - #2; Goliszek - #4; Dagenbach - #6. Rooms are numbered based on entering the pod from the current fifth grade side of the back building. Even numbered rooms on the right are 2, 4,and 6 with 6 being closest to the bath rooms. These rooms look out on the neighborhood. Odd numbered rooms are on the left with 1 near the entrance and 7 by the restrooms. These rooms look back toward the back building.

Yesterday afternoon I received an e-mail asking me to stay after the Move meeting to discuss the logistics of the move on 3/29. I will share that information with you on Monday in AM Announcements.
